Answers:
- Will my diploma say "online" degree?
No. You will receive the same degree and your diploma is the same as students who study on campus.
- How is Abilene Christian University accredited?
ACU is an accredited member of the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
- How long are the programs?
The program length varies depending on which program you choose. On average, each program lasts 18-24 months of part-time study.
- How many credits and courses do I take each semester?
You will enroll in two courses each semester. You will take one course at a time and each course is seven weeks in length.
- Do you accept transfer credits or grant credits based on work experience and certifications?
No, ACU does not accept transfer credits for our online programs. The majority of our students have years of work experience and certifications, these cannot be used as a substitute for coursework.
- How much does the program cost?

This is a great investment when you consider that the program will allow you to realize career-advancing opportunities while you continue working. It is immediately accessible from your home or office and you can have the benefits of a degree from a highly regarded school like Abilene Christian University.
- What financial aid options are available?
U.S. citizens and permanent residents have full access to federal financial aid. For more information and to complete the online application visit, www.fafsa.ed.gov. Students are always encouraged to seek tuition assistance from their employers first and coordinate the balance with financial aid. For some programs, we also accept VA Benefits such as the Montgomery GI Bill as tuition payment.
- When do I start the program?
You may enter the program three times per year at the beginning of any semester - fall, spring or summer.
- How much time is required in this program?
This program is designed for working professionals who must keep up with the demands of work and home. Most students require 12-15 hours of study per week. Your facilitator will help keep you on track. Students also find their small group of fellow students is a tremendous source of support.
